Letter of Invitation from Prophet Muhammad to the Khaybar Jews

"In the name of Allah the Most Merciful...! (A letter) from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, the friend and brother of Musa, a man who has confirmed all the things that Musa has brought: O people who follow the Torah and gather around it! Be warned and know that in truth these words uttered by God can be found in your own book:

"Muhammad is the Apostle of God, and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other.

Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from God and (His) Good Pleasure.

On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is; like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. God has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great reward." (48/29).

For the sake of God, for the sake of what has been revealed to you, and in the same way, for the sake of the provisions of manna and honey, for the sake of your fathers and grandfathers who were saved from the Pharaoh and his acts, for whom the seas were parted, tell me: is it or is it not recorded in the Book that God revealed to you that you are to believe in Muhammad?

If this is not so, then tell me so. If (this record) is not found in your Book (then there is no problem) there is no compulsion on you (to accept my religion). In truth, the wrong path and that which is true have been separated from one another. I invite you to the way of God and His Prophet."
